Livelihood security

The central government is the largest employer of working Holland. Get more connected and give (local) SMEs and self-employed workers more work and livelihood security with an unconditional basic income.

The abolition of the Wok Accord (an accelerated route for issuing work visas for (Asian) chefs) does not help the hospitality industry either. Financial support for entrepreneurs sighing and struggling under the effects of the corona pandemic, war in Ukraine, inflation and rising energy and personnel costs is vital for maintaining a vital economy.

Automatic price compensation (APC)

Wages should automatically rise with prices (inflation). We support the FNV in this.

Only youth wage up to 18

No minimum (youth) wage for adults. Only youth wage up to 18 years.

Increase minimum wage

Greatly reduce the amount of different kinds of allowances. Instead, a higher minimum wage (15 euros p/h) and, linked to that, higher benefits.

Corona debt relief

Partial relief from the government for corona debt. SMEs and self-employed workers would be given more time to recover and pay off debt. Develop a safety net for self-employed people who face loss of income. Start implementing an unconditional basic income.

Balanced taxation

Tax income generated from assets, such as buying, selling and renting property, speculation, etc., in the same way as income from employment.

Poverty reduction

New policies that effectively - and specifically - fight poverty. Stop increasing segregation between poor and rich neighbourhoods.

Single people

More attention for the problems surrounding the growing number of single people in the Netherlands, e.g. due to divorce. More support for teenage parents and single mothers and fathers.

Creating a green economy

Citizens would like the government to do its bit to develop the green economy. This means creating more jobs for green energy and new technologies, for example.

It is important for the government to take into account citizens' expectations and work in close cooperation with citizens, businesses and organisations to achieve a more sustainable and greener future.
